Shipwreck at Coney Island, NY - Circa 1890. The Bark Saranac came ashore in a storm at the pier at Tilyou's Steeplechase. It stayed there for a year or two, providing a picturesque backdrop for the tens of thousands of beach-goers enjoying the sand, surf and untold attractions of Coney Island.
